Hello Cupertino!

Ray Wang Cupertino

It’s a pleasure to meet you and continue to serve you!

The heart of democracy rests on an informed electorate. This comes with the hard work of providing transparency and demonstrating trust to our voters. Frequent communications and public input enable a strong democracy. This respect for the voter and their viewpoints is what’s sorely missing in today’s local government, even here in Cupertino.

We are often so busy working to pay our mortgage, spending time with our loved ones, and dealing with all the intricacies that consume our own lives. We expect our elected leaders to do the right thing, but often lack the information and insight to measure how well they are doing until it’s too late.

Moreover, our ability to achieve our full potential as a community rests on our willingness to listen to diverse viewpoints and find common ground. Today’s politics are often dominated by lobbyist-infused special interests and divisive rhetoric. This type of behavior hinders the best candidates from serving you, and often leads to a council focused on special interests that are not aligned to your interests.

As your past two-term Cupertino Planning Commission Chair, successful startup entrepreneur, and Global 2000 business advisor, should I be elected, I pledge to you that I will:

  • Work hard to represent the residents, businesses, and students who call Cupertino our home.

  • Ask the tough questions that need to be asked.

  • Ensure that accountability is restored.

  • Make my communication channels open to you and take the time to hear your point of view.

  • Strive to understand the details to ensure that Cupertino’s interests are put first ahead of special interests.

  • Seek to collaboratively find solutions.

I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you better. Please let me know what you think.

Come join our movement and make a difference!

Warmest regards

Ray Wang
