We are pleased to announce the successful re-election of Councilmember Kitty Moore and election of Ray Wang to the Cupertino City Council. Together, Ray and Kitty mark a new beginning for resident-focused leadership in Cupertino, alongside current Councilmember Liang Chao.

“The residents and voters of Cupertino support a healthy exchange of ideas rather than the politics of vitriol,” stated Wang. “The best way forward for our community has always required thoughtfulness and a willingness to do the work of listening to the voters, and I commit to doing that with integrity.”
Councilmember Moore stated, “I am glad that the voters unequivocally indicated that they agree with our approach of reading the materials and asking relevant questions on behalf of the voting public.”
Over the past two years, residents have expressed an increasing desire to improve fiscal accountability, support local businesses, and invest in our community and quality of life. As Cupertino City Councilmembers, Kitty and Ray will ensure these priorities guide council work over the next four years. They will also strive to strengthen the partnership across Councilmembers and with staff and local businesses, working to achieve collaborative solutions.
“After two years of turmoil in Cupertino, I hope that we can restore the democratic process that has been eroded by reduced transparency and community engagement since 2022,” stated Councilmember Chao. “The campaign promises from almost all candidates show a consensus in public safety, high quality of life, vibrant retails and stronger fiscal accountability.”
Kitty and Ray are grateful for the many voters, volunteers, and donors who supported them during the 2024 campaign season. They look forward to meeting many more of them and continuing to bring the community together during the next four years.
Election results were officially certified Thursday, December 5th, 2024 by the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters. All those who are interested are invited to join Councilmember Moore and future Councilmember Wang at the Cupertino Swearing-In Ceremony on Thursday, December 12th, 6:00 P.M. at the Cupertino Community Hall.
