The Truth: What I Stand For
Dear Cupertino Neighbors,
This is Ray Wang. I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to share that Councilmember Kitty Moore and I will continue to run a positive campaign based on the issues that matter to Cupertino residents, not the smear tactics and desperate attacks that have been directed at us.
You see, Kitty has lived through the current Council majority's (Fruen, Mohan, Wei) highly-politicized approach to local governance. Yet she still managed to uncover the nearly $65 million of public funds that were not earning interest, and I helped to make that financial information public, because that is the job of an elected official: to serve in the public interest, not to be the most agreeable crony.
I refuse to fall in line with their corrupt political gamesmanship.
I want to assure you my political opponents' lies have no effect whatsoever on how I serve the public. When Kitty Moore is re-elected, and I am her colleague on the Cupertino City Council, we will have an open door to honest, intelligent discussion with everyone.
That is how we raised our respective families, and that is what we will bring to the table in Cupertino City Hall. No more profitmongering and colluding to hurt the public. No more deeply hypocritical smear and lies. Just good, honest discussions in a spirit of successful community.
I will bring my professional background as a world-class technology and financial-market consultant to the Council. Kitty and I value this community, and are ready to help Cupertino move forward into its next chapter of prosperity and success. This is why thousands of residents have chosen to support us by volunteering for us, donating, putting up yard signs, and committing to vote for us.
I ask that we have a better, higher-quality conversation. Let's stop dragging the public through increasingly desperate smear, borne out of disagreement with anyone who dares to challenge questionable public practices.
Thanks for your consideration, and I hope that you have a great weekend.
In Friendship,
Ray Wang
